Turquoise can often be seen on the crowns and jewelry of famous rulers. As a decorative mineral, it was already known in ancient Egypt, among the Aztecs, in Persia and other dynasties. One of the more famous uses of Turquoise was in the burial mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun.
