Lepidolite is a purple-gray mineral from the same mineral family as muscovite. It is the mineral that contains the most Lithium and is used by manufacturers as a source of this mineral.

Lepidolite, like all other minerals from the "Mica" group, or mica, is extremely fragile and likes to crumble.

Most Lepidolite comes from Brazil, and it can be found in different colors. In nature, it mostly occurs in pink, purple and red colors, but sometimes it is also found in gray, and rarely in yellow.

Its reddish color is due to the Manganese content.
